Testimonials from Parents

"Two of my daughters attended Cobnuts Steiner Kindergarten. They loved spending time in the garden every morning despite the often wet weather,  their favourite activities being playing in the tyre swing and making mud cakes in the huge sandpit. I felt that the kindergarten teachers understood and respected my children's developmental stages and needs, and had a solid knowledge of Steiner education, ethos and philosophy.  The kindergarten community is very friendly and welcoming; my favourite times were the festivals, when children and their families share a meal together. "Two of my children attended this setting and thrived wonderfully. What I loved most of Cobnuts is that it emphasis the child's imagination and fantasy. They aren't overwhelmed by plastic toys. Engagement with nature is encouraged & they make finger puppets to go along with the stories read to the children. It is so serene, as a parent too I felt calmed down once on the premises. You have to visit to experience it. So pleased my children had the opportunity to be here."

" My daughter has attended Cobnuts Kindergarten from age 2 and half until 5 years old. She has flourished in this environment, learning life skills, and fostering her childhood experience. She has developed confidence socially and practically, that have been empowering for her as a person and will hold her in good stead for her future. We are very sad to be leaving but am hopeful that my son will attend in the next year and we will continue to attend the lovely seasonal festivals which are fun and a chance for us to meet up with friends. The teachers and helpers at Cobnuts are truly amazing, and pay attention to the detail of who the children are and how they can best develop. I would highly recommend Cobnuts as a preschool setting".

"Our children went to cobnuts for a combined period five years starting with the Parent and Child group and leaving Kindergarten to go to school at age 6. The Steiner approach was very important to me and I enjoyed seeing their play protected and fostered, as the precious learning about themselves and the world, at Cobnuts.
As a parent I liked the multicultural community at Cobnuts which always came to a special highlight at the end of term festivals where Parents, Siblings, Staff and Children enjoyed a shared festive meal with contributions from all. It also gave opportunity to share in their rich circle time with seasonal songs, verses and dances and to witness their mesmerised faces when watching the simple puppet play at the end.
Cobnuts was a time of rich community life for us as a family and we have made friends we will stay in touch with even though we moved away."

"Cobnuts has given our family so much more than just a preschool setting for our son. The focus on learning through play, the wonderful outside space and the integrity of the staff has created such a rich environment for the children to thrive in. And thriving is just what my highly sensitive son is doing, not only that, but he looks forward to each session and always has a huge smile on his face when I see him at the end. The strong sense of community at Cobnuts is wonderful, it's is a warm, calm, welcoming environment for both children and parents. It's a fantastic feeling knowing your child is being really cared for, not just contained."

"Cobnuts was a blessing. My son was able to play freely and be himself, in a natural setting. The staff are amazing, they are open, and respect the children as individuals. I wanted to stay with my son and play too!"

"My Son adored his precious time here growing & developing in such a wholesome & creative environment. The Barming / Maidstone Community are extremely lucky to have this Kindergarten within its grasp. A true gem" ☆
