Wednesday 11th June 2008 Talk by Sally Schweitzer , who was a Steiner Kindergarten teacher for many years and now is an early years advisor for the Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship. ‘Foundations in Childhood: Calm and Exciting’
Saturday 28th June 2008 2.30pm. Open Afternoon at Cobnuts. An opportunity for new families to come to Cobnuts and see the kindergarten. Outdoor play and light refreshments Photos from previous May fair. Photos from previous puppet shows. Photos from previous Mickaelmas festival.
Handcraft A Craft Group meets on Thursday afternoons in term times from 1.15-2.45pm. We are making items to sell at an Advent Fair in November. The group provides a friendly meeting place, with plenty of chat, tea and cake between sewing! Pre-school children are welcome to attend along with parents, so that they can play as we work..

Saturday 3rd May 2008 - 2.30 pm May Fair at Cobnuts, 9 Gatland Lane, Maidstone. Maypole dancing, live music, play in the garden, refreshments, and maybe a story or a small puppet play. Saturday 19th April 2008 - childrens craft activities at the Blackthorn Spring Fair from 10am. Wednesday 12th March 2008 8pm Talk about the Steiner Kindergarten by Sue Mortimer, Cobnuts Kindergarten Teacher.
Tuesday 11th March 2008 10.30 am at Maidstone Museum. Story telling and craft activity. Cost £2 per child.
Sunday 3rd February 2008 3pm Puppet Show ‘Mother Holle’ followed by a small puppet-making workshop. Cost £5 per family;
Saturday 12th January 2008 9.30-12.30 Felting Workshop with Eileen Whitworth. Come and learn how to turn wool from a sheepfleece into felt. Cost £6 plus materials. Bring and share lunch.
Sunday 2nd December 2007 3.45pm Advent Spiral at Blackthorn Medical Centre, St Andrews Road. A lovely family festival marking the beginning of Advent. A spiral of candlelight is slowly built up in our advent garden. Music, a story and refreshments. A peaceful magical start to the preparation for Christmas.
Sunday 11th November 2007 3.45pm. Lantern Walk at Cobnuts Kindergarten; Bring your own candle lantern (if you have one) and come and join in this festival. Please meet outside Kent Institute of Art and Design (KIAD, ME16 8AG) at 3-45pm for a start a 4pm. Wellies advised!
Thursday 18th October 2007 8pm A talk at CobnutsKindergarten. 'Early Childhood - a Steiner approach' by Dr Bodo Gottschalk. Back by popular demand! Contribution of £3 requested.
Tuesday 9th October 2007 10.30am at Maidstone Museum. 'The Giant Turnip' Story and craft activity for children up to 6 years.
Saturday 29th September 2007 2.30pm Michaelmas festival at Cobnuts Kindergarten. Come and celebrate this harvest-time festival with apple-pressing, craft activities, outdoor play, music and refreshments.
Saturday 14th July 2007 2.30pm at Cobnuts Drop-in craft session for children and parents. An opportunity for new people to see the kindergarten.
Saturday 16th June 2007 Morning craft activity at Maidstone Museum run by Cobnuts.
Saturday 19th May 2007 2.30pm at Cobnuts, 9 Gatland Lane, Maidstone. May Festival/ Open afternoon with live music, play in the garden, refreshments, and maybe a story or a small puppet play.
Tuesday 8th May 2007 8pm at Blackthorn Medical Centre, St Andrews Road,Barming Maidstone 'Parenting for Health' a talk by Ann Druitt, co-author of 'All Year Round' and contributor to the 'Lifeways' conferences. She will show how nurturing rhythm in early childhood influences physical and soul health in later life. She will suggest ways to counteract sensory over-stimulation by technological media and everyday life. Suggested contribution £3.
