Testimonials from parents
"My two daughters had the opportunity to flourish at Cobnuts Steiner Kindergarten where they had a magical time. The setting is beautiful and gave them the chance to be children, playing outside in the fresh air and have indoor time with wooden toys, puppet shows and story time. They learned through play, counting carrots when making soup, using finger muscles when kneading the bread dough. The words are not enough to express my gratitude for the caring staff who provided them with the priceless experience and memories to keep for the rest of their life.” Nadja Fox

"Two of my daughters attended Cobnuts Steiner Kindergarten. They loved spending time in the garden every morning despite the often wet weather, their favourite activities being playing in the tyre swing and making mud cakes in the huge sandpit. I felt that the kindergarten teachers understood and respected my children's developmental stages and needs, and had a solid knowledge of Steiner education, ethos and philosophy. The kindergarten community is very friendly and welcoming; my favourite times were the festivals, when children and their families share a meal together."

"Two of my children attended this setting and thrived wonderfully. What I loved most of Cobnuts is that it emphasis the child's imagination and fantasy. They aren't overwhelmed by plastic toys. Engagement with nature is encouraged & they make finger puppets to go along with the stories read to the children. It is so serene, as a parent too I felt calmed down once on the premises. You have to visit to experience it. So pleased my children had the opportunity to be here."

Statement of Intent
At Cobnuts Kindergarten, our approach is founded on the Waldorf Steiner approach to the early years of child development.
We intend to offer children an opportunity to grow and learn in a nourishing setting.
Social and emotional skills are fostered with care. Outdoor, creative and imaginative play, help to develop a love for learning and movement; respect for nature and each other.
The setting recognises childhood as a time of wonder and allows time for children to learn through play.
On Sunday 9th February 2020 afternoon, a puppet play, Briar Rose, will be taking place at Cobnuts Kindergarten on Gatland Lane Barming. The first show at 2.30pm and the second show at 3.30pm. All families welcome.
